Turkey’s entry to the European Union is inadmissible without the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, President of the World Armenian Congress (WAC) Ara Abrahamian stated at yesterday’s press conference. In his words, the WAC actively lobbies “the Armenian issue” in Europe. He noted he has already held meetings with the French and Italian Presidents to discuss this issue. The recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not Turkey’s problem only but the problem of the whole world, he said. In his turn, WAC representative, political scientist Andranik Meghrabian stated that if Turkey joins the EU without recognizing the Armenian Genocide, Armenia will have no levers of influence upon the country any longer.
