Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian received Louvre Museum President Henry Loyrette and person in charge for the conduction of the Year of Armenia in France Nelly Tardive. During the conversation R. Kocharian with satisfaction pointed to the transition of the Year program to the stage of realization. In his turn H. Loyrette noted that the French President attaches great importance to the conduction of the measure dedicated to Armenia in 2006-2007. In the words of the museum president, organization of an exhibition about Armenia in Louvre will become the key event of the Year. “The exhibition in Louvre will let present the historical and cultural legacy of Armenia not only to the French society, but also to the world,” A. Loyrette emphasized. He also said he was confident the exhibition would lay the basis for further cooperation between the museum and Armenia.
