REPRESENTATIVES OF NATIONAL MINORITIES IN GEORGIA DISCUSSED INTEGRATION ISSUES WITH OSCE HIGH COMMISSIONER

October 25-26 OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Ralf Ekeus visited Georgia, where he discussed the issues of integration with the representatives of national minorities and deputies representing them in the parliament. They also considered the issue of providing education in the Georgian language in schools. In this view, the Georgian officials assured the project on this issue is unlikely to become a law. To note, numerous Armenian community in Georgia fears of being deprived of the possibility to receive education in the native tongue.
