Georgia is not yet ready to repatriate Meskhetian Turks yet, stated Georgian Parliament Speaker Nino Burjanadze the other day at the sitting of the PACE Monitoring Committee. In her words, it is conditioned with the presence of around 300 thousand internally displaced persons from Abkhazia. It should be noted that in the country there is a numerous Armenian community, which comes against repatriation of Meskhetian Turks, who were deported from Georgia in 1944.
