ARMENIAN GENOCIDE DISCUSSED AT MEETING OF PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY OF CANADIAN IMMIGRATION MINISTER WITH TURKISH AMBASSADOR

The issue of official recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey was discussed at the meeting of parliamentary secretary of the minister of immigration and citizenship of Canada Sargis Asadurian with newly appointed Turkish ambassador to Canada Aydemir Erman. In the course of the meeting issues referring to the state of the Armenian seminary in Turkey and the situation in the Middle East were also discussed. Later Sargis Asadurian met with Armenian ambassador to Canada Ara Papian. The meeting participants discussed the developing Armenian-Canadian economic cooperation, as well as issues of organizing the 3-rd meeting of the Armenian-Canadian inter-parliamentary friendship group planned in early June.
