The tenth sitting of the Security Council Secretaries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member states starts in the Armenian capital Tuesday.
The sitting agenda includes discussion of the military and political situation in the CSTO area of activities. Questions of training military personnel, military and economic cooperation, the CSTO budget for 2005 will also be considered. It should be reminded that the organization includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan. Part of these countries, which are virtually tied with Armenia with a military alliance treaty, are at the same time members of the Organization of the Islamic Conferences and lately supported Azerbaijan in an initiative of putting the question of the territories of the security belt around the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the UN General Assembly agenda.
