Armenian President Robert Kocharian had a meeting with Iranian Minister of Energy Habibollah Bitaraf in Yerevan today. In the course of the conversation the Armenian President noted the importance of continuing the long-term cooperation of his country with the Islamic Republic. Kocharian also said he was satisfied with the progress in joint projects of the two countries, commissioning the second electric main between Iran and Armenia and beginning the practical stage of the project of building the pipeline between the two countries. Having stated Iran is committed to further development of the cooperation with Armenia, the Iranian Minister noted the important role the relations with Armenia in the field of electric power play for the Islamic Republic.
