According to the information provided by Deputy Chairman of the Road Department of Georgia Georgy Tsereteli, road-building programs are expected to be implemented in the Georgian region populated by Armenians in 2005. As reported by A-Info news agency, the statement on that was made at a meeting in the office of the representative of the President in Samtskhe-Javakhetia. Specifically, restoration of Tbilisi-Tsalka-Akhalkalaki-Karzakh road will begin soon. The next step is the repair of Akhaltsikh-Akhalkalaki road. A sum of $105 million is assigned to that end. It should be noted that the issue of repairing Ninotsminda-Bavra road was not discussed at the meeting.
