“NAGORNO KARABAKH PARTY TO CONFLICT”, OSCE MINSK GROUP RUSSIAN CO-CHAIR STATED

During the discussion in PACE of the report on Nagorno Karabakh the parliamentarians called to OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to activate steps for the Karabakh problem settlement. MG Russian Co-Chair Y. Merzlyakiov stated in the interview with RFE/RL, “sometimes we are more active than the conflicting parties but we cannon solve problems in their place”. He expressed opinion that considerable progress in the negotiation process will be observed this year. “Nagorno Karabakh is party to conflict as the Defense Minister of Karabakh of that time put his signature to the agreement on armistice next to the signatures of the representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan”, the Russian diplomat said.
