NORAVANK RESERVE CAN BE INSERTED INTO LIST OF UNESCO WORLD CULTURAL HERITAGE

The historical and cultural reserve of Noravank and its fenced-off area (about 400 hectares) situated in the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia was recommended for the list of the UNESCO world cultural heritage, Armenpress news agency reports. The UNESCO was presented the detailed description of the architectural monuments, geographic, climatic and other conditions of the reserve. Presently the list of the world cultural heritage includes about a dozen of historical and cultural monuments of Armenia, such as monastery complexes of Akhpat and Sanain, Geghardavank, Echmiadzin Cathedral, Gayane, Hripsime and Shoghakat Churches as well as the Zvartnots temple.
