The German Government and the OSCE have allocated 50 thousand euros for utilization of components of rocket propellants of melange type in Armenia, the German Embassy in Yerevan reported. The sum being provided by the German party will be enough for covering a third of the expenses planned for technical preparatory measures. In the course of implementation of the first stage of the program Germany provided 15 thousand euros. German Ambassador in Armenia Heike Renate Peitsch said she was satisfied with the German Government assisting to eliminate propellant components for the sake of ecological purposes. “Germany has much experience in elimination of arms and it shares the experience with the interested countries of the CIS,” she stated. It should be noted that 872 tons of propellant components are still in Armenia since the Soviet times.
