Women’s team of Mika Yerevan chess club scored a 3:1 win against SHSM-Nashe Nasledie in round 5 of Israel-hosted European Club Cup.
Elina Danielian and Lilit Mkrtchian tied games against Alexandra Kosteniuk and Ekaterina Kovalevskaya respectively. Harika Dronavalli beat Valentina Gunina while Lele Javakhishvili won a victory over Alina Kashlinskaya.
Yerevan club scored 13 points to climb 3rd, with Cercle d’Echecs retaining the lead with 15 points.
European Club Cup will run until Oct 18. The time control in operation is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes until the end of the game with an increment of 30 seconds from the start.
Mika was the winner of European Club Cup 2006.
