Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, currently visiting Mexico, met with the representatives of the country’s Armenian community.
During the meeting, the Minister briefed those gathered on main trends in Armenia’s foreign policy and reforms implemented in the country.
Nalbandian’s visit received wide media coverage. Numerous articles were released describing the situation after a monument to Azeri ex-president and so-called Khojalu memorial were unveiled in Mexico City, with the fact slammed as a blow to Mexican people’s dignity.
Also, as the Foreign Minister was informed, in response to public discontent, a special committee to decide the fate of the monuments above was formed.
Upon completion of his visit to Mexico, Mr. Nalbandian left for Guatemala.
