SIGNATURES GATHERED AGAINST TURKEY ACCESSION TO EU

European Values organization has launched a campaign in Prague to gather signatures against the talks on Turkeys’ membership in the EU planned for autumn. In the words of one of the organizers of the action, the collection of signatures is part of For Europe’s Sake Vote No campaign that will be held in Warsaw, Vienna, Bratislava and Berlin. The action organizers hope to gather 1 million signatures within four months. European Values organization explains the motion by the fact that in spite of implementation of a range of reforms Turkey is an economically unstable country, where human rights are violated, and its accession to the EU will result in Muslimization of the EU society. It should be noted that the Czech Government and President Vaclav Klaus have unambiguously support the Turkish membership in the EU, the Yerkir newspaper reported.
