Before 1999 Japan supported the Azeri position on the Nagorno Karabakh issue, but since then the Tokyo stand has shifted. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, first deputy foreign minister of Japan Tetsuro Yano said in the course of a press conference in Baku yesterday. He attributed the change of the position to the extremely complex political approaches to the conflict in the world.
