Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian tied a game vs India’s Viswanathan Anand in the third round of London Chess Classic. Aronian scored 1 point to take the 7th place.
Meanwhile, Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik tied the match against Norway’s Magnus Carlsen to top the standings with 7 points. Carlsen comes 2nd, with Michael Adams placed 3rd.
Aronian will face off against England’s Luke McShane in the 4th round.
The London Chess Classic 2012 is an all-play-all tournament. The games are played according to classical time control; 2 hours for 40 moves, followed by 1 hours for 20 moves, followed by 15 minutes + 30 seconds per move for the rest of the game.
