Armenian grandmaster Hrant Melkumyan has scored five wins to top the standings at London Chess Classic FIDE Open.
Melkumyan will face off against Sweden’s Tiger Hillarp in the 6th round. He earlier beat England’s Zhou Yang-Fan to share 1st-2nd places.
The tournament will run through December 8, with the winner to receive 2500 pounds.
