Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov was elected Chairman of the CIS Council of Heads of Government. Due to the order established, the rotation of the Council chairmen is carried out on the basis of the Russian alphabet. The Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine are taking part in the Council sitting held in Tbilisi at present. Kyrgyzstan is represented by the acting Vice Premier, Uzbekistan – by the Deputy Prime Minister while Turkmenistan – by permanent representative of the republic in the CIS bodies, RIA Novosti reports.
