GEORGIAN DIPLOMAT: WE DO NOT WELCOME ARMENIA’S EXTRA ARMAMENT

Georgia does not welcome Armenia’s extra armament, Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zurab Gumberidze told journalists. “We have always stressed that the Russian military bases should be withdrawn from Georgia to Russia”, he said noting that though the Russian party assures that the ammunition is being conveyed to the Russian bases dislocated in Armenia, Tbilisi does not welcome strengthening and additional armament of Armenia. “We have informed the Russian party of our position. However, we reiterate that it is the issue to be settled by two sovereign states – Armenia and Russia”, Zurab Gumberidze resumed.
