The information on the alleged appointment of former Russian Prime Minister Victor Chernomyrdin (presently Russia’s Ambassador to Unkaine) does not correspond to reality., head of the press center of the RF Embassy in Azerbaijan Gennady Yevsyukov stated, Turan news agency reported. In his words, another candidature is being discussed presently. The name of the diplomat will be announced for press later. To note, former Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolay Ryabov completed his mission in September 2004.
