“The authorities of the parties to Karabakh conflict should prepare the peoples to settlement. However presently it is hard to speak of any precise steps. The other question is that the leadership of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nagorno Karabakh should try to establish atmosphere of trust. In this view certain progress can be observed,” NKR Foreign Minister Arman Melikian stated. When commenting on the role of Russia in the Karabakh settlement the NKR FM said, “If Russia insists on Karabakh’s participation in the negotiation process we will certainly express our positive attitude,” reported IA Regnum.
