The admission regime will be simplified at the state borders of Russia and Armenia for citizens of both countries effective on coming midnight. Producing Russian foreign, common civil, diplomatic, official or sailor’s passport and drawing up certificate of return in due time is sufficient for Russian citizens visiting Armenia now. At Russian frontier points Armenian citizens present Republic of Armenia passports with note on the period of validity in foreign states or diplomatic passport, as well as certificate of return to Armenia. When visiting Russia along with children under age of 16 before March 23, 2006, Armenian citizens need to have each child’s birth certificate. The simplified regime is introduced in compliance with an agreement between Russia and Armenia. For Armenian citizens, who legally entered Russia before September 24, 2005, the previous order of return to Armenia is preserved for the coming two months, reported Itar-Tass.
