Former World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov has voiced confidence for Norway’s Magnus Carlsen to become the 16th world champion.
“Magnus’s talent and the results achieved show that Carlsen is likely to become the 16th world champion,” Arguments and Facts Russian newspaper quoted Kasparov as saying.
The former champion further noted Armenia’s Levon Aronian and Russia’s Vladimir Kramnik as Carlsen’s rivals.
“Aronian is a true rival for Magnus. He works a lot and has a strong team. I would also consider Kramnik, who, however, is a family man with two children, along with all his achievements,” Kasparov said.
