EC President Jose Manuel Barroso stated in Brussels yesterday he had discussed absence of relations between Armenia and Turkey, as well as prospects of Karabakh settlement with Armenian leader Robert Kocharian during the latter’s stay in the Belgian capital. The agenda of negotiations over Turkey’s EU accession includes an item, according to which Turkey has to establish good relations with all its neighbors. “Thus, I consider the decision to commence talks important not only for Turkey, but also to Armenia and the region as a whole,” Barroso stated, reported Mediamax.
