The military and engineering cooperation with Russia fully closes down a block of issues of Armenia in the security sphere. Armenian president Robert Kocharian said in an interview to “Izvestia” newspaper. At the same time in the president’s words, Armenia’s participation in the Treaty on Collective Security (TCS) let enter the Armenian-Russian relations in the military and engineering sphere into a larger-scale security system. The opportunities of horizontal work with other TCS member republics also expand, R. Kocharian noted. “After we had arranged our participation in the TCS, cooperation with the states, with whom we did not at all have any military and engineering partnership before, became concretely outlined,” – the Armenian leader emphasized.
