RUSSIAN PARTY TO ENGAGE IN ARMENIAN NUCLEAR PLANT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

According to the agreement achieved at the sitting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Yerevan today, the financial management of the Armenian nuclear power plant is conveyed to the Russian party. Said Russian minister of industry, science and technology Ilya Klebanov being in Yerevan at present. As reported by “Mediamax” agency, Klebanov emphasized that the atomic plant remained property of Armenia. “It is a question of optimization of the management of financial flows of the station, which will let refrain from repetition of the situation, when the Armenian plant could not pay for the nuclear fuel,” – he emphasized. The Russian minister said that, according to the arrangements made, “RAO UES” Russian company will engage in settling the atomic station debt for nuclear fuel supply, which is $40 million. “Thus, the Armenian nuclear power plant is “exempted” from the debt,” – Ilya Klebanov noted.
