UN hosted a conference for prevention of genocides, with the event made possible through the assistance of the Armenia's permanent mission to the UN and a number of NGOs.
The April 4 conference hosted the UN-accredited diplomats and foreign guests.
Armenia's permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Karen Nazaryan delivered an address, urging for condemnation of genocides to prevent their recurrence and restore justice.
As the diplomat noted, Armenia continues campaigning for international recognition of the Genocide and is grateful to countries and organizations who've acknowledged this crime against humanity.
Following the speeches of scientists and art critics who briefed those gathered about their works on Genocide, Michael Hagopian’s documentary Voices From the Lake about Kharberd massacres was screened.
