The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has expressed displeasure with the US administration intention to slash aid to Armenia in fiscal year 2004. As reported by the ANCA office, the US assistance to Armenia is planned $49.5 million next year. Let us note that in the course of the coming weeks US Congress will approve the fiscal year 2003 foreign aid bill where aid to Armenia makes not less than $80 million. At the same time, ANCA notes, the Bush administration provides for only insignificant decrease of aid to Azerbaijan from $45 million in 2003 to $41.5 million in 2004. At the same time the US president is for keeping parity in curtailing military aid to Azerbaijan and Armenia.
