Pamuk Awarded Medicis Famous French Literature Prize

Famous Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk is awarded Medicis famous French literature prize. The French have awarded the Prize to Orhan Pamuk for his «Snow» novel, of which Kars is the scene. The hero of the novel is a Turkish writer, who has returned to the fatherland after a 12-year exile and who finds himself in the center of political events developing in the small town.
