Kocharian and Stepashin Discussed Issue of Armenian Enterprises Given to Russia

Today Armenian President Robert Kocharian met with Russian Accounts Chamber Chairman Sergey Stepashin, reported the Press Service of the Armenian leader. S. Stepashin had arrived in Armenia to take part in the joint session of the Russian Accounts Chamber and Armenian Control Chamber. During the meeting the parties discussed matters of launching enterprises given to Russia by Armenia within the framework of Property for Debt agreement. Mr. Stepashin also addressed the work of the Accounts Chamber of Russia, relations with other structures of state administration. The amendments to the Constitution of Armenia submitted for the referendum in addition provide for the forming of the Control Chamber as an independent structure, which will promote strengthening financial control, R. Kocharian remarked.
