Edinburgh City Council Adopted Draft Resolution on Armenian Genocide Recognition

The city council of Edinburgh with 29 votes in favor and 16 against adopted the draft resolution on the Armenian Genocide recognition. The document was submitted by Mayor of Edinburgh, Chairman of the Labor Party Donald Anderson. The City Council passed the draft despite numerous protests of the Turkish organizations functioning in the UK. The draft was supported by members of the Liberal Democratic Party, however the Conservative faction party voted against, Yerkir online reported.
