NORMALIZING RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA SHOULD BE PRECONDITION FOR TURKEY’S ACCESSION TO EU

Turkey should establish normal relations with Armenia before being accepted in the European Union. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian said at yesterday’s press conference in Paris. In his words, normalization of these relations should be a precondition of the European Union for Turkey’s accession to the EU. At the same time the minister emphasized that Armenia welcomed dialogue with Turkey at any level. “An official dialogue instead of the so-called Armenian-Turkish reconciliation commission is desirable,” – the Armenian foreign ministry head said.
