Margaryan: To All Appearances Constitutional Amendments Will Pass

Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan and his family took part in the constitutional referendum. The Armenian Premier voted for the amendments. He motivated his choice by the fact that the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) headed by him is the co-author of the draft amendments.

“To all appearances the amendments will pass,” Andranik Margaryan stated. He noted that the coordination center has carried out a wide and efficient propaganda. The RA Prime Minister did not comment on the opposition’s boycott. “The opposition forces are following their choice and their decisions,” Andranik Margaryan said. When asked about the small number of international organizations he noted that the organizations should have stated of the intention to observe the referendum. The Prime Minister called upon the international observers to fulfill their duty honestly and professionally.
To note, 1802 voters have been registered at the 1/17 polling station, where the Premier voted. By 11.00 a.m. 180 citizens have already voted. Andranik Margaryan voiced hope that the turnout will activate by the midday, reported IA Regnum.
