Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev voiced wish to participate in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process. “I would assume any status to normalize the situation in the South Caucasus between the close peoples of Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Nazarbayev said at a news conference in Astana. The Kazakhstani President reminded that in 1991 he took part in the Karabakh conflict resolution. “I saw the misfortune of close peoples,” he said. “The collision between the nearest neighbors results in grief and sufferings of people, that is why I would like to participate in the settlement of situation created between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Nursultan Nazarbayev stated.
