The Ukrainian position on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict rests on the need for its peaceful settlement with participation of international organizations and on the basis of a dialogue between the parties. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, Ukrainian defense minister Vladimir Shkidchenko said in Baku. As of the military cooperation between Ukraine and Armenia in the light of “the occupied Azeri territories,” the minister noted that the Ukrainian defense department cooperated with similar departments of Armenia, as well as of other countries and that did not lead to changing the power balance around Nagorno Karabakh. Let us note that the ministers of defense of Ukraine and Azerbaijan signed a program on cooperation for 2003 in Baku today.
