Russia-NATO Council Discusses South Caucasus Situation As Well

Regional security issues, including the situation in the South Caucasus, are discussed within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council, stated Russian Deputy FM Aleksandr Grushko in an article Euro-Atlantic Vector of Russia’s Foreign Policy. «Political dialogue and actual cooperation within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council continued becoming filled with practical sense in 2005,» stated Russian Deputy FM. Within the framework of the Russia-NATO Council the parties cooperate based on common responsibility for equal rights and decision-making. Regional security issues were discussed: the situation in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Balkans, South Caucasus and Near East,» the Russian diplomat remarked, reported Mediamax.
