The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs are planning a short-term visit to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict region in early February, Russian Co-Chairs Yuri Merzlyakov informed. “The visit will be very short. We will meet with the Presidents only to prepare for their recurrent consultations scheduled for February,” he said. Yuri Merzlyakov refrained from announcing precise term of the visit citing absence of confirmation by the conflicting parties.
The Russian mediator does not think signing of any document at the February presidential meeting real. “I suppose, it’s premature to speak of it yet. We should first of all reach agreement on the settlement principles,” he resumed. Yuri Merzlyakov rated the London negotiations between the Co-Chairs and the Armenian and Azerbaijani FMs as positive, reported Trend.
