During their commencing visit to the region co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group should present the outcomes of their activities, initiatives and various proposals, head of the section of foreign relations of the Executive Staff of the Azeri President Novruz Mamedov said. He stated it when commenting on the visit of OSCE MG co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Steven Mann (US) and Bernard Fassier (France) to Baku commencing January 31. In his words, the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan themselves intend to continue the talks over Nagorno Karabakh settlement in mid-February. «Before that meeting the co-chairs’ visit to the region is quite understandable from the point of view of their mediation mission. I.e. they have to exchange views with the President,» Mamedov said. He reported that the co-chairs had many conversations with the Azeri and Armenian parties. «Having studies certain aspects, they should work to bring parties’ stands closer,» he summed up. The OSCE MG co-chairs are arriving in Baku January 31. February 1 they will hold consultations with President Ilham Aliyev, after which they will head for Yerevan, reported Trend agency.
