Turkey “Sorry” about Monument to Armenian Genocide Victims to be Set in Lyons

Turkish society “is sorry” about the decision made by Lyons, France, Municipal Council to set a monument to victims of the Armenian Genocide in that French city. As an argument proving that “in that really huge tragedy not only many Armenians, but also Turks and Kurds were killed, the openness of archives with documents of 1915-1920 for scholars throughout the globe is mentioned,” reported AzTV Azeri channel. The source notes, “on the other hand France has ignored Turkish Ambassador Uluc Uzulker’s appeals to set a monument of founder of the Turkish Republic Ataturk for many years. At that 450 Turks live in France.”
