Chirac: There Are Real Chances to Lay Fundament of Karabakh Problem Settlement

The international community supports the efforts targeted at achieving peace in Nagorno Karabakh and elaboration of an agreements between the parties, French President Jacques Chirac stated, a French source said. “There are real chances to lay the fundament of the Nagorno Karabakh problem settlement,” Mr. Chirac said upon completion of the meetings with Robert Kocharian and Ilham Aliyev. He underscored that he hosts the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders with a hope that the talks will open a way to new prospects of peace. Jacques Chirac noted that establishment of peace is important not only for Armenia and Azerbaijan but also for the whole region and world. The French President wished both leaders “success in the upcoming talks”, reported ITAR-TASS.
