Armenian Should Be State Language in Javakheti

The issue of making Armenian the state language in Samtskhe-Javakheti region should be introduced before Georgian authorities and the international community, says a statement of Armenian NGOs of Javakheti. The issue appeared after ethnic Armenian judges were dismissed in Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda by instructions of Georgian central authorities owing to lack of knowledge of the Georgian language. The Council of Armenian organizations says Georgian authorities continue policy of dismissing all Armenians, who do not know Georgian, reported A-Info agency.
