By going to launch the Armenian Atomic Power Station on not renewed nuclear fuel Armenia makes its neighbors, including Georgia, “live in constant fear due to the threat of an ecological catastrophe, which may exceed the Chernobil wreckage many times.” As reported by “Mediamax” agency, Georgian Green Party leader Georgy Gachechiladze stated it. Commenting on the report of the director general of “Armenian Electricity Networks” Yevgeny Gladunchik on launching the station before new fuel supplies Gachechiladze emphasized the inadmissibility of exploitation of the station “without steady security guarantees, which cannot be provided for by Yerevan today.”
