RUSSIA SHOULD HAVE “MORE CREATIVE AND NON-STANDARD” APPROACH TO CONFLICT SETTLEMENT IN CAUCASUS, RUSSIAN FOREIGN MINISTER CONSIDERS

In the begun year Russia should have “more creative and non-standard” approach to conflict settlement in the Caucasus. As reported by “Mediamax” agency, Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov stated it. In his words, Russia cannot be indifferent towards the presence of unsettled conflicts among its borders. First of all this refers to Nagorno Karabakh, Abkhazian and Pridnestrovian confrontations, the minister specified. “In spite of our efforts, one cannot speak of real progress in these questions. Of course, it is a serious factor making our activities more complicated both in the Caucasus and within the whole of the CIS,” – Russian foreign ministry head emphasized.
