The withdrawal of the Russian military bases from Georgia to Armenia “will not change the balance of power in the region.” As reported by “Mediamax” agency, chief of the central administrative board of the international military cooperation of the Russian defense ministry colonel general Anatoly Mazurkevich stated in Moscow today. “We do not withdraw battle means, but engineering equipment, including graders, earth-moving machines and communication means,” – the general noted. Thus, in his words, “talks that relocation of these means may threaten the military security of Georgia and Azerbaijan are groundless.”
