The redeployment of the Russian liaison battalion from Georgia to Armenia should not cause uneasiness of Azerbaijan. As reported by “Arminfo” agency, the staff of the Russian troops in Transcaucasia stated it. In the words of staff representative Vladimir Kuparadze, the Russian battalion subordination is transferred to the Russian 102-nd military base in Gumri and “its subordination to the Armenian defense ministry is out of question.” There is no information on transportation of ammunition from Sagarejo Georgian region to Armenia, he said. As the military emphasized, the Russian and Georgian experts recently came to agreement over the issue of redeployment of the group of troops in Transcaucasia and representatives of the Georgian defense ministry will accompany the Russian signalers to the Armenian border.
