Last Armenians of Syrian Deir-ez-Zor abandon the city

The last 25 Armenian families residing in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor left the city in recent months, with the majority of them settling in Aleppo, Al-Qamishli and Latakia, Arevelk reports.

Blown up in 2014, the Genocide-comemmorating Holy Martyrs Armenian church in Deir ez-Zor is thoroughly destroyed now, while Armenians' apartments and shops are plundered.

Last Armenians of Syria's IS-controlled Rakka have also abandoned their houses, the situation in the city having deterriorated on September 30.
