The Armenian-French relations are at a very high level today. Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian told journalists today. In his words, Armenian president Robert Kocharian’s working visit to Paris starting today will become a new stimulus for developing the relations. “Almost three years have passed since the latest official visit Robert Kocharian paid to the country, and now we have to evaluate the work done within that period and discuss our further actions,” – the minister said. As reported by V. Oskanian, a rather wide range of issues referring to different spheres have to be discussed. Specifically, France’s contribution to the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be considered. It should be noted that in the course of the visit the Armenian leader is expected to meet with French president Jacques Chirac, the prime minister, chairmen of the Senate and the National Assembly, members of the cabinet of ministers.
