FOREIGN MINISTERS OF TREATY ON COLLECTIVE SECURITY MEMBER STATES CAME FOR PURELY POLITICAL SOLUTION OF IRAQI PROBLEM

Foreign ministers of the Treaty on Collective Security member states (Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan) have confirmed the adherence of their countries to settlement of the Iraqi problem “by means political and diplomatic instruments in strict compliance with the UN Security Council resolutions.” As reported by “De Facto” agency, the ministerial statement released upon the completion of their today’s meeting in Moscow says this. In the course of the talks the heads of the foreign departments discussed situation around Iraq and its impact on the regional stability and security. The ministers expressed concern regarding the growing tension in the region. The need for collective search for solution of the problem making use of UN mechanisms was emphasized at the meeting.
