French President Jacques Chirac is attentively following the process of the Nagorno Karabakh problem settlement and is ready to mediate the organization of a new meeting of the Armenian and Azeri leaders, as it was in 2001. OSCE Minsk group new French co-chair Andrew Jackoleny stated it during the meeting with Azeri President Heydar Aliyev in Baku. Speaking of his appointment he said that official Paris considered it necessary not only to have a Minsk group ambassador, but also a special person on the problem of Nagorno Karabakh. The diplomat reported about his awareness in the sphere of confrontations, which would help him in his new office. Thus, he had worked in Bosnia for three years, was in Cyprus with a diplomatic mission, was in the OSCE Commission on conventional arms control.
