The matter was concerned at Aliyev’s meeting with US ambassador to Armenia John Ordway in Baku. The Azeri leader is also anxious about the information that discussion of the issue of Nagorno Karabakh’s independence is initiated in the British parliament by some lords. In his turn ambassador Ordway stated that “not Congress, but the President determines foreign policy in US.” At the same time he noted that after the meeting in Baku with representatives of various political and social groups of the Azeri society he became still more convinced that “all of us should mobilize to achieve peaceful settlement of the conflict.”
